Location, Alphabet, Time, Category and Hierarchy.

Creating five separate categories for creating our typology required us to underpin a rule, individual to each category. Locations rule was; ‘the distance to the focal point’. We were then able to organize everybodys research using a systematic approach to the workshop.

Once completed, I was able to reflect on our documentations in a new way than before. It gave us insight that we couldn’t of come across verbally. By being able to see before our eyes photographs filtered into order of; time of day, material and tangible and intangible I was then able to notice changes within them, but also similarities.

I see how this can be applied to my field of study, by being able to arrange text, images, videos – anything! Into a similar system.
